Lake Champlain Lake House

Located on the shores of Lake Champlain this energy efficient, luxury timber frame home has some of the most scenic vistas Vermont has to offer.  The western Adirondack views across Lake Champlain and the Champlain Valley and Green Mountains to the East this property is positioned to take full advantage of both sunrise and sunset.  Upon walking through the entry this beautiful dug fur timber frame opens to cathedral great room with a spectacular hand set masonry fireplace. The wraparound-screened porch leads to a bluestone patio over looking the lawn that slopes to the gray shale beach.  Whether chasing firefly’s at dusk or enjoying the fall foliage in front of the fire this house will certainly bring joy for generation to come.

Dunmore Lake House

High on the banks overlooking Lake Dunmore, this Vermont timber frame vacation home is as much about the landscape as the structure.  Maximizing the use of glass and using the sites topography gives this home some of the best views on the lake.

The first floor master suit opens to the beautiful cathedral great room that spills into the dining and kitchen area.  Featuring a fully finished basement with guest rooms, combined family and entertainment space really maximizes the square footage this lake house has to offer.  Screened in porch, outdoor shower, raised stone wall patio with fire pit is everything you would need for a week at the lake.

Valley Lake Retreat

Located on the Shore of Valley Lake in Woodbury this four season cabin retreat was collaboratively designed with our clients to create a peaceful place for them to enjoy the serenity of the Vermont wilderness.   The basic cabin lines lead to its authenticity where it is set into the mountainous hillside overlooking the Lake.  Loaded with everyday residential features, the cabins low profile increases heating efficiency allowing the property to be enjoyed comfortably year round.  Exposed glulam and steel plate connection trusses along with generous covered porches add to the charm while also providing a great place to entertain or nap during the long summer days.

Summit Street Renovation

Located in the South End Hill Section of Burlington, Vermont, this 1950s midcentury modern, split level raised ranch looked weathered, dated and in need of some serious attention.   After our first site visit, we knew this iconic 20th-century home had potential with its low-slung roofs, open floor plan and great location.  To remedy the plain, old box feeling malady, we incorporated materials such as a standing seem roof, fiber cement siding and Marvin Integrity windows, all of which are energy efficient, low maintenance products designed to handle Vermont’s harsh winters.  The existing front stoop lacked character and distinction and felt more like a side entry. This renovation was a great opportunity to incorporate a more prominent entrance and functional front porch anyone could enjoy.

Butler Island Tiny House

This two story one bedroom charmer built on Butler Island incorporates the beauty of tiny living. Limited by the grandfathered footprint, two large shed dormers bring in abundant natural light to make for a comfortable second floor bedroom. The two-story walk out deck/porch makes for a great space to enjoy the lake views and surrounding environment.
